The venue

ABOUT NETHERWOOD FARM

Netherwood is a working farm on the R103 at Nottingham Road, home to the Blueberry Café and a brewery. The wedding venues sit towards the back of the property, so a celebration here feels private even on a busy farm weekend.

Couples marry in the hilltop chapel, move to the contemporary reception venue, and the closest family can stay at Lidgett’s Grant Lodge. The three are within walking distance of each other, and the wedding party has them to itself for the weekend.

The reception room has a clean, modern look that couples love to dress up. With hanging greenery overhead and the lighting running, it’s one of the most striking rooms I play in.

HOW I PLAY NETHERWOOD

Every room sounds different. This is how I set up at Netherwood Farm, from the ceremony to the last song.

  • Hilltop vows

    The chapel sits high with long views. Ceremony speakers go where every row hears the vows clearly, without the sound drifting past the guests.

  • A modern, hard-surfaced room

    Hard floors and glass reflect sound, so I aim the speakers rather than turn them up. Speeches stay clear and the dance floor still hits hard.

  • Family a short walk away

    With the family sleeping on the farm, the last hour is usually the liveliest. I save the big sing-along songs for the end of the night.

    Words won’t cut it, but Jarryd and Em you are beyond phenomenal. You created the most magical experience for our wedding. Every moment, from our beautiful, heartfelt ceremony to chilled and vibey canapés to the biggest joll at the reception - you guys nailed it every time. We always knew music would be a priority for us, and we are beyond stoked to have trusted you guys. Jono and I could not recommend Jarryd more - the best in the business without a doubt!     Jarryd and his wife Emma were wonderful DJs at our wedding. From the start Jarryd made us feel at ease and was super professional. He followed everything we said to him and everything ran so smoothly. Music was a big part of our day and he got it spot on. Our friends, family and us had the biggest jol!

    Where do I even begin !!! Jarryd and Emma - you guys are just incredible. From the moment that dance floor opened, the party did not stop until the very end and trust me - none of us wanted it to come to an end !! Our special day would never have been the same without you guys. Thank you for absolutely everything you did to make our day so memorable. I think we should still consider doing it all over again, just because !! Honestly lost for words. Cannot wait for you both to be apart of many more of our crazy family weddings down the line.
